The game is very interesting and really bumping if you get a lot of notes in row :P. But it is SUPER hard! My highest score was 10,700 (don't know if that's good or not :o).

but i agree, it gets too hard to fast. now, after its finished i see a lot of opportunities to ease the player in better...
the highest i got so far was in the 20.000s, so there is room. 😅
my suggestions are:
- use a gamepad. i play with an xbox 360 pad, using the analog stick, i think that's the best way. 👍😊
- concentrate on 1 or 2 lanes in the beginning, because there is no real penalty for missing notes.
- listen to the whole song which you can download, to learn the rhythm.
but writing all this; the game should just have been easier. 😅
Very original and unexpected gameplay ! Wish the game would be played only with arrows. ITs too difficult for me right now haha, but I guess thi would be a killer in japanese arcade place !

Epsilon ADThat's some really nice music. The game was pretty difficult (maybe not knowing the song, maybe the 4-directional pad, not sure) but I love rhythm games and definitely enjoyed the challenge. Fun game!

Not The Bees!Rhythm games are not my thing, but I really liked the music and found the concept interesting. An easy mode where you don't have to hold the button to select the lane would be appreciated so I could actually get through the game xD.

I tried to structure the game so that it starts easy and gets hard in the end, knowing that for this jam I could only finish one track. That's why I don't have difficulty settings, too. But that's a good idea. Maybe one button without lanes is beginner mode, then one lane is easy, 2 lanes medium, etc. 🤔😆

Regarding the diffculty: Agreed. I cannot play the song flawlessly myself so far, my best score is 22900. ;) I pretty much underestimated the amount of work it required to get the music done, chopped up, and synched to the gameplay, so I couldn't balance it very much. :)
But I'm glad that you think the controls are alright, as that was my biggest fear, especially for a rhythm game. :D
