great art!! the game itself is nice but it feels so weird to move, since the background doesn't change and the camera follows the player it doesn't feel like I'm moving

2866pts... fun game! It took a while to get the hang of it and get a somewhat decent run. I wish I could see a little bit more and that the background would move so that you could see how you were moving. Overall a great game, and I appreciated the tutorial!

I enjoyed it a lot! Got #1 in the leaderboard too! Awesome post proccessing usage tbh.

Some critiques I have:
1- I was also confused about the shotgun overall, like how did I get it? Why is it gone now?
2- I couldn't understand the combo system much.
3- We are moving too slow to really dodge, I generally escaped and attacked to the enemies when they are out of the screen.

I love how simple it is yet it requires some tactics to survive longer. I loved the way difficulty increased too, I was overwhelmed by enemies but I felt that happened because I was too slow to kill them, not because the game spawned a lot. I loved the work overall, keep it up!

About the weapon upgrading. I understand that weapon upgrading is little bit too confusing. Your weapons upgrade everytime you hit level up. you can have shotgun or assault rifle.

Combo System is pretty much hard right now. and it's really hard to get some combo.

Player movement is maybe a bit more slow, because I wanted players to use dash ability instead of normal movement. Anyway

Yeah I found out spamming dash is the meta the superior movement. Also made it up to 10x combo, I don't know how good that is but yeah. Thank you for taking your time to answer, again, nice work :)

Hey!

God, I am glad I found that post processing in the settings! It looks really nice.

What I liked:

The minimalistic graphics paired with some nice effects and an easy-to-learn-hard-to-master shooter mechanic. I loved seeing me entering the board and I really tried to get better. It is encouraging and overall I had good fun.

Things to remark:

Sometimes I would spawn next to an enemy and die instantly. Maybe define a radius around the player spawn and do not let enemies spawn there at the beginning.

The leaderboard sadly did not got my name and used just the id it got when it was first started. Also I had the feeling that I had to enter my name after each session again. It would be nice to have a single input for the name in the beginning and then just watch the name go up the ranks :)

Overall:

Well met shooter and a more than valid entry for this jam.

About Enemy Spawning
yeah, i know that enemies can spawn sometimes next to player. I spent lot of time to fix that bug. but i cant solve that. 

About the leaderboard
That's weird about the leaderboard. it should use the name that you entered in inputfield. I'm sorry for that.

also. I understand that you may feel like you have to enter your name over and over again every time you die.
But don't worry, you only have to enter your name once. Good idea to put it at the beginning.

It's pretty fun, however my one tip would be to add a background so it's easier to gauge where the you are, as it feels quite weird to maneuver.

The background is a little modified with post processing. Maybe turning off post processing will make the game easier. Anyway

Stylish, good sounds. The training does not say about the jerk (shift). There is some kind of slide, I'm not sure what it should be (Because in training it appears only after breaking the wall, and in the main game there is no time to check it)

about training. I wanted the players to learn the basics.
I didn't add dashing (shift) to the training on purpose. Because
I wanted the players to learn different tactics directly in the game.. how to use dash (shift) in different situations.

Fun to grind, but the controls feel a little bit wonky. Enemies can spawn nearly inside of you, resulting in a death you can't possibly anticipate. Sometimes also very very fast projectiles come shooting in, although there you still have the possibility to survive and they are actually quite fun to avoid when it's possible.

About the enemies spawning inside of player. i know about that. and i spent lot of time to fix that problem. however it's still there! :D anyway thanks for playing!
