Unfortunately yes, you have to make the full game start to finish in the 10 day submission period, starting in 25 days. This is to ensure that everyone competing has the same, fair chance as everyone else. You can look into other game jams and see whether you fit their entry requirements - it seems like you may fit the requirements to submit to the Great Autumn Game Jam.
