It was really cool to play a game like this, Japanese folklore is full of monsters and youkai, the atmosphere and story is really good and I loved the sprites! I couldn't wait to see the sequel!
Man the dialog box fades out only to pop back up right when you think you can move—haha, it's almost edging at this point. Nice submission! I'm surprised at how polished it feels, both the dialogs and the graphics. I'm not usually a fan of story based games in game jams, but this is one I really enjoyed. See you at the next jam! :)
jRpg mechanics! I like it. Also the art is cool, really liked the monsters. I didn't make it too far, it was really challenging (some options to heal would be nice, but probably I just didn't find items or something like this), but I enjoyed playing the game. It could become full steam release. Nice job, wish you luck!
