it's an ambitious game to be done in one week, and would love to try a more polished version

Nice art as always, unique and I like the isometric style. The items are very interesting to play with, but the balance of enemies does not seem to be conducive to having only like 3 slots for items, especially considering a lot of battles come down to hoping for a chance to go off.
very cool art style, kudos for choosing isometric since is not a easy choice
the controls are a little bit stiff but playable, i like the mechanic of changing items to get different attributes depending on the slot you equips, very cool idea
I manage to defeat the crow and finish the game
Really great visuals and system mechanics, but I found the balance to be quite off and just ended up avoiding battles as much as possible. I really enjoyed the system for navigating and avoiding enemies, reminded me of some my favorites like Chrono Trigger and FFXIII-2. The sadistic humor was welcome and lent itself well to the art style. My main recommendations would be addressing the balancing, making the combat a little more engaging, and some more sound design, but within the constraints of the jam this is impressive and great work!
Very pronounced art style, reminded me of the first Witcher game for some reason lol, which I am a huge fan of... enjoyed this one, thanks!
The idea is there for sure like a cool battle system trying to avoid the monster of battle them. Tho I would have liked to be more powerfull I just had 1 attack or i didn't get how to get more attacks or do more damage.
I avoided a lot of monster which made the game very hard which was nice but also boring just I just clicked trying to avoid and as reward I get another seen of avoiding monsters. I liked the part with the story definitely good to put lore into the game to keep the player interacted.
The main idea of using parts of defeated monsters as weapons is interesting, but it kinda lacks on the horror aspect. The monsters have cool designs, but after playing for a while you stop seeing them as threats and more as item droppers.
I loved the art style of the game! I didn't look at the screenshots before so I had no idea what kinda game I was getting into but I love the fact it turned into a turn based battler. I really like your rouge like system where you can choose what to upgrade adding even more flare to the combat! Great work on your game.
Great art work, the red/grey/black palette works really well! Sound design creates a tension and a forboding atmosphere. Good combat system too.
very nice submission. art is top notch. some animations would help to reawlly make this game pop.
What a pleasant art style, I really enjoyed the visuals, I wish there was more animations to the monsters because they looked so cool. Also while it was a bit hard to get started, I find the essence system interesting, it was nice to have the option to try out each essence in multiple slots and kinda decide which was best for your current situation, also made it so that fighting monsters was more thrilling because a new monster meant new buffs. Good choices here, I think the game has lot of potential to grow and develop (I got pretty far I think but died to my hubris lmao) a lot further. Also really impressive amount of systems for the limited time of Game Jam. Good work.
The idea is cool, but it lacks a tactical component. You just choose the items that do more damage. And by the feeling, the item with 70% additional dark damage does not work, I deal 15-20 with it or without it. I would probably like some phases for opponents. For example, the opponent charges a strong attack for three turns, you can try to kill him with normal attacks, or interrupt his charge with a light attack.
Great game! The visual style may not be outstanding, but it perfectly suits the atmosphere of the project. The monsters look creepy and immediately set the tone for a tough fight. I feel like I could have used more VFX effects during combat to fully appreciate the new skill. But overall, the game leaves the impression of careful and thoughtful work put into it. Keep it up!
I almost thought it was an endless journey. But then I win. Good game!
