Looking for a Unity Game Designer Partner

Hello,

I'm looking for a fellow game designer to join me in building a two people team to build something short but polished on Unity.

We can both take the mantle of Game Designer, I can handle some light C# scripting, level design, narrative design and composing if needed. I'm looking for someone more on the programming side who can handle more complex coding stuff, we can and probably should cooperate on the level design and can always discuss story and other elements.

I believe a two-person team if the most efficient in jams like this. We could get an additional 3D/2D artist or a sound designer/composer too if needed.

Hello Niz Productions

I find your proposal very ambitious and exciting. However, after going through a few rejections recently, I'm realizing my insecurities about my 3D skills. I'm in a learning process and improving with each model I make, but I don't know if I'm up to par with what you're looking for at the moment. Still, I'd like to try and keep moving forward, as I think a collaboration like this could push me to improve faster.

If you accept me, please keep in mind that I'll give it my best shot, but I might also need time to hone my skills. I don't want to let you or the team down if something doesn't go well, and I'm worried about not being able to meet expectations. That being said, if you decide to move forward, I'm willing to take on this challenge with a desire to learn and improve along the way.

Hello Satfyro,

I’m sorry to hear about the rejections you’ve faced, but please know that it's a common experience in the gaming industry. Since you’re under 18, you’ve got plenty of time to continue developing your craft and gaining recognition. Starting so early will give you a great head start in the future! And keep in mind that a lot of the rejections you’ve faced might be because many projects require 18+ team members.

As someone nearly twice your age, I can’t promise the rejections will one day stop, especially in the entertainment industry, but keep building up your portfolio and searching for projects that are the right fit. Eventually, I’m sure you’ll land a role that matches your talents.

That being said, I’m not currently looking for a 3D artist for this jam project, and I may not need one at all. Please don’t take this as another rejection, my original post might not have been as clear as I hoped in explaning this, but I’m looking for a Game Designer with strong programming skills to work alongside me in Unity.

Best of luck in all your endeavors!

It's okay, I accept it. Thank you

Hey, still looking for additional programmer?

Hi, yes I haven't found someone yet. But to be clear, the person I'm looking for is a programmer with unity experience, someone I can make the game together.

I would say I'm pretty experienced with Unity, you can check my profile for the games I have made. I also have proffesional work experience with C#

Sounds great! You can add me on discord if you'd like to talk further about the jam and working together,
