This game shows a good understanding of how to create eerie environments, I love the low-lit dark corridors and stairs that build a sense of dread. The final reveal is interesting - I feel like a little more storytelling through the environment and objects within could build that unease before the player confronts what's going on. As has been noted, I know this game isn't complete, but there are the pieces of a very effective horror game that I'd love to see more of, so I can uncover the mystery!
Thanks for submitting Iris to the SCREAM MACHINE jam!

Thank you! There's a second door that can be unlocked, not sure which one you got. The bathroom door or the basement door. ^^
Very atmospheric and remniscent of PT. The camera jerks got a little intense at times, and there were some slight graphical bleeds (behind the locked door). Nice 3d models and unsettling arrangements. The camera did seem a little too far zoomed in, like the FOV wasn't quite right. It felt like I was seeing the inner 2/3rds of the screen. Overall, very cool little game.
Thank you! Yep we know heh, we kinda had some real complications with Unity along the way, and didn't end up having time to work out the issues before uploading it. ^^'
This game had a great atmosphere! I think the sound design particularly shined. I was unfortunately distracted a good bit from the game by the camera, which seemed to jerk around at random like a crazy person. But aside from that, I was pretty creeped. I just wish it had been a bit longer.
Hey Naver, thank you for the feedback and for playing. Apologies for the bad camera work, we unfortunately had a ton of technical issues that severely affected our time to polish the game more. In the future, I'll place more importance of camera work now.
Did you guys do a custom camera?
Nope, we used Unity's cinemachine and made some tweaks to it.
Ah. I wonder what happened then. But anyway, there's no shame in not having time to polish things as much as you want. That's just the nature of game jams.
Thank you a bunch! Yeah unfortunately we didn't have time to fix that bug, haha. Sorry for that! ^^' We also had some issues with Unity along the way that slowed the process significantly lol
