Hi, this is the first gamejam i participated in.

I uploaded a playable version of my game, but sadly I really didnt get to finish it.

There are a few things completely missing (sound, level cleared screen, secondary attacks for player, ...), because I wanted to do more than I could do in just one month and some things are just not completed...

But I still like how it turned out and would like some feedback on it. So if you have some time heres the link :)

Its great for First Jam great job, nice game pretty unique, would've be better with sound. It will be nice if the fish is able to grab the trash for a small time cuz after defeating the boss a bottle got stuck in corner of map, in the edge. took me 10mins to turn it and throw it. Loved the idea

Thank you for playing and replying here :)

I wanted to do that but got stuck at other things so I didnt have the time to make that mechanic. In retrospect I should have concentrated on the mechanics instead of the new levels and bosses.

Anyway, thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it :)

First of all this is awesome for your first game jam! The Bottle Swordfish boss was a fun and creative way of portraying the battle against trash in the ocean. Loved the art and the details in the environment e.g. parallax background, ambient school of fish swimming, and particle effects for the tube you're meant to throw trash into. In terms of feedback, I think having the trash get sucked into the tube when it's nearby would feel better and the ability to shoot the trash into the tube using your bubble attack would be fun to experiment with.

It would be sweet to see a completed version of the game and I think there's a lot of learning that can come from seeing it the whole way through. Adding sound, a level cleared screen, and having the instructions in the game would be a great start. Overall great job and keep at it!
