Sorry if people asked this somewhere else, but I do wonder if you only want the game to be text-based, or if we can add images to supplement the visual effects. Or if multiple choice is allowed.
We are taking the large definition of IF: interactive fiction. So VN/Parsers/Choice-Based/Hyper-text/etc... are all allowed. It can have images or none at all. It can have sound or be silent. Multiple choice or parser (player text input) or hyper-text (choice within the text).
