It took me a moment to realize this is a two-player game. That's definitely an interesting choice as well as one that sets the game apart. Itch.io doesn't seem to want the second player to move, but it's fair to say both players have the same "moveset". Edge barriers could work wonders because the player characters can exit at any time, and I would've loved to see more moves - a strong attack and something for blocking, for instance. Being able to pick other player colors could also be an interesting addition and wouldn't be that hard to program, but I still had fun.
I think adding boundaries would be a good idea. Also adding more life to the players, I keep winning in a single hit! Playing both characters, it seems like red can't do any damage, so blue consistently wins. Other than that, I really like the concept!
The game seems like it could be pretty fun but there are somethings missing or that aren't working. It maybe be the itch.io page but the person controlling the red character can never really hit. Also at least on my end the fight was over after one hit. Something that would have been nice to implement is a sort of knockback.
I think its great that you went for a more co-op style game. I used to play so many of those with my friends at school to kill time back in elementary school. So props to you for the great idea. I think the game itself runs nice and smooth besides a little lag on the audio. I also think that there should be rounds or some way to restart the game. People also lose/win a little too quickly. Other than that though, super neat idea. Great idea!

This game is great in concept, but there are a few issues (one being that I am by myself and can't actually have a cohesive fight). Due to the up and down arrow keys being bound to attack and jump for the red player, the attack seems to get stuck since the page scrolls when these are pressed. Also, the audio when getting hit and attacking seem to be a little inconsistent and sound slightly delayed. The players can also jump indefinitely in mid-air, allowing them to jump off screen. Other than those issues, your game has potential to be a fun experience with a friend by your side.
