Linear / straightforward storytelling game. The cute SFX spark joy and really engages the player. More importantly, they sound "appropriate" for whatever activity is happening (eg. pounding the mochi is accompanied by quick bass sounds). The tempo is also wonderfully thought out, "12 hours" go by so slow compared to "30 minutes" compared to "99 poundings". The quickening "pace" also builds up the player's expectations towards the endgame. Well done!

Nice map design. I like that it has different sections for each step and has different sound effects. :)

Minor additions like instruction and adding levels or difficulty can make this an even more fun game if you are planning to update this in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed it. :)

I love the idea lol, at first i dont know how to play it but when i  moved the arrows keys, i found there is water like sprite went out the raise, realizing it was rice (sorry not familiar with mochi lol) i love the fact that you added an entrance when clear the objective and you can go through the next room.

Very simple but very novel! For the pound meter, maybe it would be better if you could actually "pound" by hitting a key (maybe not 99 times). Props for the sound effects! Even with the MIDI sound, you conveyed the idea of the action with the variety of the sound effects!
