  • The art choice and music created a very cool foreboding atmosphere. I only wish there was more stuff to do, but for being short on time, I applaud the length of the level. As others noted, it could have used a fullscreen mode or at least a higher resolution window. It wasn't quite obvious in-game how it relates to the theme, but it makes sense when I read the description at least

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
An originally normal cave overtaken by mushroom-like entities

Jam Judge (1 edit)

This was a very simple little 2D platforming game. I enjoyed the sprite work and the music, but there wasn't a whole lot going on gameplay wise, unless I missed something? I think there was only jumping and swinging the sword. I couldn't interact with any items other than enemies that hurt me. The variety in the level structure was nice, lots of changes in direction, climbing, descending. The ending was very abrupt, I assume you were short on time putting this together. There didn't seem to be any references to the jam theme other than a variety of mushrooms.

edit: I couldn't figure out how to get this game into full screen, so in the future I think it would be important to integrate a full screen toggle or resize function, because most people won't have the patience to play in a tiny little window.

Hey! I'm trying to play this but I'm unable to. "Sangetsu" is the only application here and I get an error reading "This code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR120.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Any advice? Thanks!

i believe that's due to a microsoft redistributable not being installed? one of my friends had the same error since their pc was pretty new.
