That's good to know how the corruption works! Thank you! I'd fill the bar quickly and see the number disappear. And then once the bar filled I had no idea what was going on really.

As for fixing the game, I highly encourage you to consider developing this as a full release if you felt like it. I've been keeping my cards close to my chest, but I see the other judges leaving positive comments so I will too. This is easily one of my favorite games here and absolutely my most played out of any of the jam games. Could easily be a lost UFO 50 game or it's own Balatro like game. This concept was so clever, creative, and cool! The fact that you made this in a week is incredible because it could be a demo on Steam this very moment. I would easily pick this up full price as a full release with more time to cook and more ideas added. This has a LOT of potential and it's been great to play! Thanks for entering the jam!

So the button was grayed out and that's why I couldn't click it. As for answering your first question, it's hard to say. It usually happens after I complete a round. I'll place the toilets but it won't become clickable again. I want to say this happened without toilets once but I can't remember. I do know it's happened to me after rounds 3-8.  The button is grayed as soon as I enter the end of round screen and place the toilets, so it had nothing to do with placing symbols or multipliers.

The only thing all of these runs had in common, aside from my recent round 8 clearing run, was that I was doing extremely well. Like, "I have full x2 multipliers at the start of round 3, very few toilets at the start of 5, and I'm good enough to skip buying symbols and multipliers with my winnings" well. And the thing they all had in common was that they would have cleared round 8. Like I said before, it was always my incredibly good runs this would happen to, almost like corrupting the machine too much locks it down. That's why I thought it was a mechanic I didn't understand, since the corruption bar at the top seemed useless.

Thanks for making an addicting game! I don't have a problem. I can quit when I want.

Hey! I encountered what seems to be a major bug, but it was on my bajillionth play so don't worry, it doesn't seem to be that frequent. I got to the end of the round, placed the toilets I needed to, bought what multipliers I wanted to, but I was unable to go to the next round and wasn't sure why. Nothing I did seemed to work. Of course this happened on my best run yet that would have been my high score. Oh well. The house always wins!

Edit: I started to encounter this fairly frequently now (I don't have a problem), almost every run where I don't have horrible luck like failing in round 1.  So it might not be a bug and is some intentional mechanic I'm missing.

And thanks again for letting me know! I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Thank you! PotaJoe gave me the go ahead to say that you can add the controls in game if you want.

Aside from that, I did have a bug report. I entered the hotel and went into the door on the right. I picked up the book and tried to leave the room with right click, but was unable to do so. Thanks again!

Hey, what are the controls? I don't see any listed anywhere.

Hey! I'm trying to play this but I'm unable to. "Sangetsu" is the only application here and I get an error reading "This code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR120.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Any advice? Thanks!

Hey, I see you already have it reported but I'm getting an error asking me if the .pck file is missing. Can't judge this until the game is fixed.

Of course! Just to be sure, it's only the two rooms? I wanna make sure I'm not missing anything else.

Thank you! I'll be giving this another shot soon.

Hey, like Shrinefox I'm having trouble with the game being too dark and looking nothing like the screenshots. I'm not sure how much there is in this game because I can't see much so I don't know how to progress.

This might already be fixed in the complete version, but FYI that when I started the game with my controller plugged in it was giving ghost inputs causing me to scroll through all menus despite nothing being pressed.

Was just about to ask this. Thanks for letting us know! :D

Hey, back again with another report. When I enter the second level there aren't any enemies. I also have no way of leaving it without closing the game.

As per Potajoe, "Reusing tiny bits of code here and there is fine."

1.) My shots hacked the first enemy then nothing afterwards.

2.) I have no idea what "Lost Menu" is. Haven't seen it on any boot of the game. The only menus I see are the main menu and the pause screen.

Hi there! I just wanted to report a few bugs before the deadline.

1.) On my initial boot of the game I was able to hack the first enemy. After it dealt with the data center and turret, it was destroyed by more enemies. After that I was unable to hack any enemies.

2.) Game froze upon being defeated by enemies.

3.) Random game stutters and freezes. This happened in various parts of the game and wasn't limited to any area, but was noticeable when first loading in.

4.) I was shooting during one stutter and ended up getting stuck automatically shooting.

5.) Very minor. When shooting sometimes I would see the bullets appear outside of the play window and in the background.

Thanks for submitting a game and I look forward to seeing the final product! :D

Hey! I found a few:

1.) When my controller is plugged in the game is splitting controls between keyboard and controller. It told me to move with left stick. That didn't work but the default WASD did. I also couldn't find the attack key on keyboard because it said it was "B" on my controller. I had no problems with controls when my controller was unplugged.

2.) I'm unable to leave the forge after entering it.

Thanks for submitting a game and I look forward to judging your final submission!

Edit: I was using the web build when playing.

Don't worry! You didn't break any rules or anything as far as I can tell. :D

Thanks for letting us know about this! Here's hoping it opens up many more submissions that I can't wait to judge! :D
