Hello!

I never done a text-based video game, I use mainly rpg maker mz, does anyone have any advice on what software I should use?

Also, can you provide an example of a good text-based game, so I can analyze what make it interesting?

Thank you.

Hi! There is a list of interactive fiction software on the main jam page. The most common software used to make text-based games is probably twine, while ink and Choicescript are also commonly used. If you want to make parser (typing-based) games, Inform 7 is the most popular; there’s also Adventuron and many others.

For examples of single-choice text-based games, see some of games from the last iteration of Single Choice Jam.
