I like the concept of this XD
I remember ever seeing the same concept on ps1 style horror game jam(?) showcase. I don't know their game jam name, but I know from youtuber that like to play horror game. A game that showcase the same type of game. Really fun to watch it XD Now, that I played this, other than make me curious about games that I haven't played, I also remembering the good games that I have been played too. XD
It also feels special to have my game to get mentioned in the game even though I rarely appear in the group lately :'D Thanks for mentioning the game ^^
The assets packs area also a great idea. People can see how well it will be when placed on the game. I like it XD
Hmm maybe a navigation character or something would be good in this. To explain what is been showcased on the current area.
The writing in 1st person reminded me of 90s rpgs or Megaman Legends, which is really nice, actually. I did not know AmalgamAsh could write dialogue.
The musuem to show objects you can buy online for Smile Game Builder is a great idea, you can see it live instead of just in a YouTube video, it had something special about it seeing it live.
When I saw a bunch if weird random people in the backyard I did crack up a bit. I have no idea why. :D
thank you for the kind words!
If you liked the dialogue (or Dr. Sap), I hope you can check out Planet Spectrum sometime!
Looking forward to playing your entry!
PROS:
This collaboration of various characters from various games was a unique idea. It was very "Charming" as AmalgamAsh likes to say. You definitely used a wide array of assets on this one! I played it twice, thinking I missed something but I think I explored everything?
CONS:
The slow walking movement in the mini game. You could walk through a few assets.
I like the idea of amalgamating community resources in such a way to showcase various styles and themes. (I'd have submitted my MC too but he wasn't ready in time. In fact, he was very last minute.)
This was neat, a nice way to showcase the community!
