Wow great job! It's not easy making such a short time.

If you're up for a challenge, the current world record (that I'm aware of) is 04,90 ;)

Submitted

Got  a Discord server for it?

Developer

No sorry I don't have one. But I think I'll at least put the best score directly on the game's itch.io page and update it each time someone beats it.

If the record really is 4:90, its either not possible on my pc or uses some absurd strategy. Down below are my best runs, and I've tried dozens of strategies. All of these below were by just getting all the boxes, and going as straight as possible to avoid wasting movement. (this shaved the 10ms)
I'd love to know what the strategy is for the 4:90!

Thanks, seeing how much you try to beat the best time makes me really happy!

I acknowledge the different between 05,23 and 04,90 is still quite huge for a speedrun game. I just replayed and got 04,88 by taking all of the boxes, so I'm not sure how I could help you. I also tried not taking the third box at the beginning to get a speedboost but I think both options give a similar time. I hope it's not a PC issue, otherwise I'm really sorry!

I understand it can be quite frustrating, I think I beat sub 04,00 only thrice. Tell me if you manage to improve your time!

Please explain what I could've done better:

Developer(+1)

Oh I'm confused, my best run was me doing literally the same thing as you.

I hope it's not a bug (but it probably is). If that's the case I'm really sorry :(

:( Did you forget to use DeltaTime somewhere?

Developer(+1)

No that's the weird part. I know I used Time.deltaTime and made sure everything was framerate-independant.

Although I agree with you, it must be that kind of issue.

Welp. Enjoyed the game!

Developer(+1)

Haha thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it and tried so hard to beat the best score ^^

the car drove off and lost all the mail along the way, and the guy was conscientious but stupid, so he ran after him, collecting the mail and delivering it?

Developer

To be honest I didn't put much thought into the lore of the game, but it's basically the idea haha

you're always welcome, I have a wild imagination))) sometimes even too much

Developer

Haha that's nice!

This was a blast, thought I might break the sound barrier with how fast I was going

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the speed of game!

Super fun! I wish there was more!

Developer(+1)

It's true there could have been more levels, but I chose to focus on a single one to replay over and over.

In any case, thank you for your comment!

I love the art style!

Developer

Thank you for the compliment!

Simple, efficace!
