Super awesome game with a really cool "Blink" ability. the visuals are amazing love the dedication to video game color theory. Green is good Red is bad and the circle around the player indicating the blink range is a nice addition. Great job thanks for the game. Good Luck
I'm happy that you enjoy the blinking and colour usage! Your support means a lot. Thanks for playing!
I played the game and had fun! At least until I finally got to the midpoint and then quickly died afterward. I was really hoping that big energy bolt would be a checkpoint, but alas.
So I liked the art, but I noticed that the big wheel thing in the center has bigger pixels (or just looks that way) than the surroundings. I'm guessing from being a sized up version of the others. As a pixel artist myself, it's very noticeable.
As for the controls, I found them frustratingly slippery. Especially on the three posts at the start, I'd sometimes land just on the edge and then slip off while just staying still. Super frustrating! I assume you've got a circular collision box? That'd be a downside of one... unless it's intentional. But then, it's a bit too hard for my tastes with no checkpoints.
I do like the snappy respawn time though. I also thought the trail effect behind the player was a nice touch! Overall, great job!
P.S. Although unrelated to the game, you should know that the font on your main game page is extremely low contrast with the background and thus very hard to read. I'd suggest changing that.
Thanks for playing! About that big circle, I had around 3 hours remaining once I started the sprite and tiles texxtures, so to save time, I just scaled up the 32x32 sprite, it's a real bummer. After watching my friends playtest, I noticed the slipperiness and how frustrating it was – it's due to a capsule collider. I really appreciate you taking the time to play and give feedback!
Ah, also, thanks for pointing out the issue with the main page. My browser extension changes the font color, so I didn't even notice.
No problem, happy to help!
interesting game
Cool little platformer! I feel like some of the hitboxes were too big. Amazing art tho!
Yeah, once I watched some friends playtest, I realized the hitboxes are a bit too big. Thank you for taking the time to play!
Got a time of 20 seconds! Super neat game, really liked the take on the theme! Art was really great, liked it a lot! My only real critique is that I'd probably integrate whether you have a teleport or not into the crosshair in some way, since you're never really looking in the corner of the screen; Not a super big criticism though! Really solid entry! Nice work!
Oh, that's a great suggestion. If I decide to work on it in the future, I'll definitely make that edit!
Thank you for taking the time to play.
nice, very good looking visuals
Great one! I had fun trying to optimize my run by finding shortcuts.
The game was a bit difficult for me, so I only managed to finish the level once (18,44s).
The implementation of the theme is great too, I was taken aback when I learned that I had to do it all over again in reverse at the end! Great level design in such a short space!
Aww thank you so much for your feedback! It's awesome to hear that you enjoyed the challenge and had fun exploring the shortcuts. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Amazing game, I really enjoyed the teleporting feature
Thank you so much!
Thanks for checking out my submission!
Sadly, I didn't have time to add more levels, so I had to design the first level to incorporate the tutorial while still providing some challenge and the possibility of speedrunning.
Here's my run, utilising shortcuts.
Hope you Enjoy!
