I tried playing this but after I click Run Game, it just loads forever without making any progress. Not sure what to do.
Which browser are you using? Maybe try clearing your broswer cache for itch.io

Okay! I tried it in Firefox and it worked! The acceleration mechanic was a little awkward at first but I got the hang of it. Gave me nostalgia for that old Mario game where you had to build up speed to fly with the racoon suit, haha. Anyway, I had a lot of fun with it! Sound and music were perfect also!
I managed to get on the leaderboard as #7!

Wow. This is a perfect game for this jam. When I'm flying through the level at an unbelievable pace, I feel like spiderman, and when I unceremoniously crash into the spikes for the fifth time, I feel like I'm playing dark souls again. Visuals are clean, music is rockin, and it's a well executed concept. If I was going to change one thing, I could have used a bit more of a 'tutorial' level to explore and learn the mechanics before being put to the test. Good job.

I really like your idea of a test area. Maybe also with infinite grappling hook energy to get used to the controls. I will keep that in mind for my next project!
