I loved the character designs and the voices were great! Man I really feel for that poor alien. Great job!
I really liked the writing style. Great tone. Easy to read and rather straightforward instead of convoluted, just missing some real branching: a bad ending. Is it possible? Art matches story tone and only lacks in polish and finishing. As it was an entry for a competition with a deadline this is understandable though a patch would be appreciated. Music is ok and at least it got some voice acting. xD
I did plan to make the weird responses add points to a suspicion meter, which would make you explode when filled, but i didn't feel like i had the time necessary to fully implement it. It would also require a bit of thinking to make sure it's fair and doesn't make the game worse. Also a proper saving system would have to be made, because without it, beating the game just once could potentially be just miserable for some if not all players.
Short, but rather amusing!
Entertaining, I must say
Some big Invader Zim vibes from this entry! Both writing wise and art-wise, which is interesting! The sprites and backgrounds are simple but functional, and have a lot of personality.
The music is fine but the volume levels are a bit all over the place. Also, the SFX for George's speaking is particularly obnoxious.
Hey there. To qualify for judging you need a downloadable Windows build. Please try to upload one ASAP and make it visible as part of your submission.
Done. Most jams I've seen require a web build and I did not see that Windows build part on the Spooktober page, so it took me by surprise. I hope I'm not too too late. Apparently I also incorrectly thought that this jam lasted two weeks and not a month which is somewhere between funny and embarassing, I guess the deadline got shuffled with other jams in my memory. Anyway, sorry and enjoy for what it's worth.
