I played the game and really enjoyed it! Although it took a lot of trial and error for me to get the good ending, very interested to find out who it is we see at the end with the bell >:o, as I'm sure it's not the demon we just exorcised lol.

The reason it took so many tries on my part was that I guessed the demon's name wrong, I picked the fish one at first and not the actual one, however after picking the right one and looking at the demon's design I was like "ooooooh" and then I felt kinda stupid for not getting it before lol.

When it came to the other two objects I had the right idea and logic though, as I understood the hints from the girl's dialogue about her friend and how the demon kept talking about how dirty and rotten he was and how it would be "impossible" to clean him.

Something I think would be really cool for the final version would be some more CGs at important moments like when the victim hugs the exorcist, I think it would really add to the atmosphere :D

Since other people have mentioned the inventory thing and I know you know about, I won't go into much detail, but I just want to say that I agree that it would be good to have a proper inventory system.

Anyway, I really hope you have a good time with finishing this game when you're not under a stressful deadline :3

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I'll keep all of this in mind. I'm glad the clues generally made sense, though I'll probably tweak them a bit to make them clearer. I also like the idea of unlocking a CG or two per level, I hadn't considered that! Thank you again, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game <333

The game, art and story was so solid, I was actually surprised to find out that you're the sole dev of the game, so congratulations! The music choice you made definitely helped build the environment :D
Seconding what echomochi said but the implementation of an inventory system and having clearer hints would definitely help!

(and honestly, I too, really wanted to befriend the demon cause they seem kinda chill. Piqued my interest from the screenshots -oop)

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it :) And thank you as well for the feedback, I'll definitely be rethinking the inventory system to make it easier for players to manage.

(A friend of mine also said they wanted to befriend and even have tea with the demon, haha. I really wasn't expecting people to react that way to it, but it's a pleasant surprise!)

Well I know I'm super psyched for this and I can't wait to meet more demons friends as more levels or chapters(?) come out! You're doing great :D

what a fantastic game! im excited by the idea that this is a demo-- might there be more demons in future?

i only have a couple nitpicks; i wish there was something in the UI to display what the current items we are holding are! for all i know, you planned to but didnt have time :~) the second thing is that i wish there were more hints as to what the correct combination is to get the good ending. maybe im just missing them! one of them is made obvious by going through the dialogue with the girl, but the other is a little bit more of a random choice. actually i understood the hint with the mirror but it seemed a comparably unremarkable object so i never used it for the dismissal :( until i went to find out what it was supposed to be (side note- your code is very neat and pleasant to look through). i think you made a lot of red herrings, which is great for a game like this, but for that one im not sure what i was missing to know thats what i should have chosen

i love the art style- its simple, but in a very good way. visually, you have no choice but to focus on the demon, and i think that works in your favor. the music fit the tone, so you chose well on that. i really felt the urgency of the situation, and the dialogue felt heavy enough to draw me in. despite that i think the demon is just a cute guy, and felt a little bad to get rid of him. i really hope that youd consider making this an anthology of some kind! i would buy a set of exorcism missions :D

Thank you so much for all the kind words! I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed the game.

I definitely want to update the inventory system, I knew it would probably be a bit confusing lol so thank you for the feedback. I'll also be editing the wording of some of the clues for sure, I want the game to be a bit difficult but not impossible.

I'm glad you're interested in more! I'm hoping to update the existing content and expand the game to include 3 to 5 "exorcism missions" as you put it, so please look forward to it. Thank you again for the very sweet and helpful comment!!
