Yo this game is CRAZY HUGE for a one month jam game, not only you managed to get it so polished but 20k words!? I can't wait for the full story , and gotta say this game really needs more exposure. The art is pretty and everyone is hot oh gosh lolol

Thank you for your kind words!

I can't speak for others, as I'm a voice actor and I didn't oversee others' activities, buuut...when I started looking at characters' designs, my reaction was the same. "You didn't need to make this one so hot, wow. Oh, the same for this one! And that other one! And..." not knowing Lorenzo would also be stunning, haha

I agree, you can tell the people in charge of coordinating were so passionate while working on this demo to make it feel right and polish the details, I'm glad it can be felt on the released product. I'm so proud to work along with them, please stay tuned for updates~

Holy cats, this is massive in both scope and polish for a demo, let alone for a jam game! The voice acting is absolutely phenomenal, the characters are delightful and grounded, and the story manages to hit the sweet spot for me in terms of a tonal balance between tension and humor. I love the artwork, and the music and ambient soundscapes feel organic and add to the sense of isolation and danger. Definitely intrigued, and looking forward to seeing more! 💚

Hello and thank you!! Happy that you enjoyed it >:3c

Actually, I'm super relieved to hear that the general consensus about the characters and story is well balanced, it's evidence that my team's hard work is shining through so I'm super grateful :')

We're definitely not going to stop here at a demo,  we're going to see it through so thank you for the support! <3

(Tell It Slant is on my to play list btw, I'm so ready to check it out this weekend!)

Undergrowth is a novel and well-crafted narrative that manages to be warm, funny, gripping and unsettling all at once. Firstly, the game was beautiful aesthetically. I loved the art style and character design, and found it really impressive considering how many characters and locations that had to be done in 30 days!  There were also great performances all round from the ensemble cast ;  the characters feel real which meant I am 100% invested in whether or not they will all make it out in one piece! The story was compelling enough that even I, someone with a very short attention span, was happy to see it through to the end.  I looking forward to seeing how the story ends!

Thank you so much for your kind words Sophie! Glad that you enjoyed it!

I was actually a little worried about the length being too long because I kinda overshot our goal when we decided to fully voice it lmao- but I'm super glad it doesn't come off as wordy and that the characters were able to convey the depth that we imagined! I owe it all to my lovely team :>

(also, I recognize you from Killer Chat's team so allow me to send y'all a big HELLO!!! I'm super excited to play it this weekend >:3c )

You're very welcome! No I thought was a great length and all of it felt necessary to progress the plot! Ahh HELLO back! We've heard great things about you all from Jett :D I hope you enjoy it!

Wow! Incredible job from the whole team!!! This feels huge for a demo, with already super impressive art and a riveting story. The characters and their dynamics feel really captivating, from the folks at camp two (the walkie mechanic working really well!) to even our own grumpy Gregory - you really get a feel for them and begin to root for each one within a really short time (Kyle in particular was instantly lovable!), which makes the rest of the looming story hit that much harder. The voice acting is probably the best I've seen in the jam so far, and the character art is stunning - love those thick black shadows & lines! The limited settings also really drive home that creeping restless trapped feeling, which builds on you just in time with the pacing of the story.

Super excited to see what comes next (hopefully with a chapter select to onboard quickly with the next version?), and huge congrats!!

The way I GASPED when I saw this, I've been a fan since Trashwing Crowchild last year!! It's an honour and thank you for playing our game FeatherBoy!

I'm actually so glad that each of their personalities really came through. I loved writing them because it's important to me that a story like this channels real humanity and raw emotions.

Allow me to shower my team with love but, without the help of Jett Barker, our voice director (also an actor and loveable gremlin) and our lovely cast of 17 other voice actors, the characters wouldn't have seem so real. 26 live directed sessions really paid off!

I'll let the rest (who are also fans of yours) know, thank you so much once again! >:3c

(btw I'm super excited to play your entry this weekend!)

Omg, thank you so much!! That's super validating to hear from such a wild team!! Hope you enjoy! 😊

Streamed some of it today and, despite making a small contribution towards this project, I didn't expect the plot twists as the story builds up through its slow burn. The sense of unease as you start putting together the puzzle pieces before the characters can is rewarding. And horrifying. Can't wait to finish it and figure out what's happening to them.

Thank you so much for playing J, I'm glad you're enjoying the story!
Super excited to watch your playthrough on the second half :D
(also, saying that you made a small contribution is such huge understatement, Lorenzo literally would not be complete without you >:0  thank you for voicing one of our sweet beans!)
