I believe you have something truly special going on here with the mixed visual assets:
The sprites are beautiful with this charcoal/graphite aspect to it and the newspaper-like pictures for the backgrounds.
May I suggest a simple looping ambient noise audio clip for the "music"? I think it would enhance the atmosphere if you are considering to do a 1.1 version :)
Congrats on your first game!
Thanks you a lot! Probably there will be a 1.1 version with ambient sounds :) I couldn't add them before the jam deadline haha
You've got a great visual style going on here. The halftone effect on the background makes it gel really well with the sprites.
I am glad you liked the visual style! Thanks for playing and commenting :)
Congratulations on completing your first game :3 That in itself is a huge achievement because so many people say they want to try and do things, some never even begin, some start and then give up, but you made it!
I love the way your draw expressions on your characters. They're really emotive, and the creepy smile faces were especially awesome :3 Sadly, I can't even draw a good stick man, let alone anything else >.<
SPOILERS
I wasn't expecting the eye animation near the beginning, which was pretty cool! And I thought it was awesome how you changed your sprite poses with the gun to her head. It helps up the tension and make everything seem more like it's in the moment :3 I got the path of forgiveness ending first time.
If you got that ending first, you are a good person haha
Thanks you so much for the comment! I am glad you liked the art :D Those were a lot of expressions and sprites for sure~ So the effort was worth it! I used the jam to an excuse to finish something. 2x1 xD
