Really a Papers Please-like rather than a visual novel. Fun though! It's a good premise and the descriptions of the different pets were really entertaining (and relatable to anyone who has ever owned a pet). Plus it looks like you put in the work to procedurally generate the pet descriptions, which I appreciate. And such a funny ending--exactly what demons would think was a positive result!

I was actually inspired by Papers, Please while making this! I knew I wasn't making anything as robust as Papers, Please in a month, but I'm glad I did get the swipe mechanic down. I do understand what you mean about this game lacking visual novel elements and I was a little worried about that after submitting this game. I think I'll put more focus into story elements in the future and keep things like the swipe mechanic to a mini game if I want to create more of a visual novel feeling.
Thank you very much for playing my game! I'm really happy to hear that you found it enjoyable.

Very cute! I really liked the premise. I was confused by the devil horn, halo, and :/ symbols because they didn't seem to be related to whatever choice I picked, but overall it was really adorable! Great job!

Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm sorry to hear that morality system wasn't explained very well. I'm considering adding a gameplay video or patch later this week to hopefully clarify that a bit better for the players. Thanks again for your feedback!

A fun way to start out the jam! A simple yet enjoyable little entry with whimsical humor, dark undertones, and with a rudimentary yet enjoyable premise!

I think this game's greatest strength is its humor. Perhaps I'm not a good person, but the idea of an animal someone finding a way to get itself ensnared by a chair had me in tears. I have 9 dogs and a cat and their antics aren't that far off.

However, I wish the game took more of an ambitious route. I noticed that certain animals when refused or accepted displayed devil horns, a halo, or a ;/. I experimented to see if muking up the results got you anywhere, but I didn't notice any alterations in the gameplay.

Also, the UI for accepting and refusing an animal disappears after the first wave of animals. If you intentionally did this to mess with the player, than perhaps you should've swapped out the fiery sound fx that plays as well when you click the left option. Otherwise, you might want to try and fix this before a judge gets their mitts on this.

An excellent entry all the same however! Sometimes, a basic premise is just as enjoyable as a complex game!

Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm sorry to hear the morality system wasn't easy to understand. In theory, rejecting an animal that was difficult to its owner should give you good points, while rejecting an animal that was kind to its owner should give you evil points. On the flip side, accepting a kind animal should give you good points, while accepting an evil animal should give you evil points. I might release a gameplay video that explains this later in the week. Thank you for giving me feedback!
The arrow images were actually supposed to disappear, but I'll likely add a patch later this week making that bit more apparent. Thanks again!

Ahh, man, this is so adorable ^-^ I'd be terrible at the job for real though cos I love animals, so I just sent all of them to pet heaven xD even the ones who had quite frankly, behaved abominably, hehe. They were fun to read :3 I'm gonna have to replay though to see if I can get the other endings!

I don't know if it's maybe intentional, but the images for the buttons after the first lot of paperwork turned invisible. I just thought I'd mention it in case it was a bug, but if it was intentional, just ignore me, haha. Either way, it was fine because I knew where to click anyways and it worked still :3

Really cute and fun ^-^

Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the premise and want to find all the endings!
The arrows disappearing after the first round of paperwork is intentional, but you're the second person to mention that so I might add a patch to clarify this. Thanks for giving me your feedback! It helps me understand what people think about the game.
