I loved the story, the tension and the atmosphere. The writing is neat and the art is gorgeous. the only flaws in my eyes are the lack of backround music ans the impossibility to save/quit/return to the last sentence. Thanks for this nice story, and keep the good work!

Thank you! So kind of you to play it and to leave a comment. Yes I've just now added an update to allow saving and quitting. But I didn't think to add returning to the last sentence. Is that something people want to do? I'll have to see about adding it.

Thanks again and glad you liked it!

Hello again. Yes, visual novels and interactive novels usually offer the option of returning to the previous sentence/text/paragraph (usually with the mouse wheel). It is not mandatory of course (especially if it is difficult to implement), but it offers a better reading comfort. As an avid visual novel reader I can tell I use this option quite often. We use it for exemple to check information or details given earlier in the story, etc.

BTW I really looove the art, did you made it? It has some Otto Dix's vibes, it's beautiful and disturbing at the same time. This is perfect for this kind of story. It was as if the characters and the world were distorted through the eyes of the disurbed protagonist.

Sorry if my english is a bit awkward, but it's not my first langage^^

Really loved the story! I would've enjoyed some more choices, but it was very well written and I was hooked the whole time!

The content warnings showed up as kinda wonky for me, both at the beginning and the end. And like Wombats said, I definitely think some music would add to the atmosphere. Overall, really good job! :)

Thanks so much for playing! Yes I agree more choices would have been better. Another victim of the time limit! I'm planning to do an update.

I'm not sure why the content warnings would be wonky. I'll have a look into it. If you get time to let me know what platform it ran on or any other details that would be super helpful thanks :)

Thanks again!

I played it on Windows, it all showed up as one long chain of vertical text. I tried to redownload to take a screenshot but couldn't get the warning to pop up again :(

Developer

Thanks very much for trying! Much appreciated. I have no idea why that might have happened. I'll try to chase it down by trying different things.

Neat story, some good tense writing! The abstract illustrations really added where present. Audio would go a long way to move this from interactive fiction to VN, but it makes a good short story regardless.

Thanks very much! Yes I might focus on audio now that I don't have the jam deadline to worry about. Thanks for the feedback. Really nice to hear.
