I haven't had time to play much, but I got through the first five puzzles and really enjoyed it.
I found myself wishing that I could easily remove the tiles I'd placed and see the underlying hints (even though right clicking shows more detailed information, I felt like it would have been helpful to be able to remove things I knew were wrong and see the hint tiles all together in context at once).
Thank you for playing through my attempt at a puzzle game for this jam.
I've also just added a new quality of life improvement based on your comment. There's now a retry / clear sudoku button at the top-right corner, thanks for suggesting it !
Also really liked your game and the improvements you've made =^p Great job !
Hi, yes I could do it, but I think there are still a lot of things to do here before accomplishing my desired result :
Better UI (since now it kinda stinks)
Add a fifth elements and perhaps a sixth (which would add 15 resp. 46 new elements)
Time attack
Seeding a game & adding more customisability
This is a project I'm very passionate about, so I'm willing to really make a pleasant game out of it, and perhaps even port it to mobile. I've got a really solid code-foundation (automatic generation of grids with tons of parameters), so this shouldn't be a problem. The only thing is that I've got things going on at the moment, so those plans are not for tomorrow
I did not get very far to be honest, I placed all the elements where they should be (even checked the "recepies") and it just wouldn't progress. This has me thinking of little alchemy, a game I played long long ago. Pretty nice
Thanks for the reply :), sadly enough I did not have enough time to playtest my game and the interface could have used more polish, notably the already filled tiles in the sudoku. I have found myself in situations where (at level 2-3,) I thought all elements were filled, but in reality some individual cells containing just one element did not have the marker. I fully agree that it is a (perhaps too) subtle change. That's definitely a point I will take for future jams ;)
Comments
very cool game, well made =)
for a short while I forgot it was a sudoku, the elements should not repeat on row and column =P
Thank you for your comment, hope you enjoyed my entry for the jam !
I also liked your game :p !

Very nice! I'll definitely check it out :)
Do you have any plans to export downloadable versions, by the way?

I think you have a good foundation to build on here! I hope that you find the time to give it the attention that you feel it deserves :)
Hi ! I'll make sure to continue working untill I'm fully satisfied with the end result. I'll let you know when it gets finalised !
Also, thank you for your kind words :)
Best of luck!
