i can't save money

I like your games, especially Monster Babe. However, a small suggestion in my mind that you could add "enemy grab" & "button mashing escape" on most of your games. Such as petrify, suspension, trapped, etc... BTW, rape is unnecessary if you feel uncomfortable.

P/S: I like Dianna from Monster Babe, she is cute! (Hopefully I could play as her...)

Looking good, reminds me of an old flash game. Seconding the comments about wait time though, grinding is painful since there's so much downtime between attacks. More damage per hit would be an alternative if you're concerned about time for blocking.

this is a little frustrating to play since i just take attacks and don't feel like i can do much to stop them.  i don't even attack myself, i just kinda decide what my next automatic attack will be.  but it does seem like there's an interesting system in here.  maybe just needs some nourishment.  i see another comment mentioned i can reduce incoming damage but i don't know how i was supposed to figure that out?

i love the little comic cutscenes before every level??  did not expect that at all, that's really really cool

also i can't believe a literal harpy stole my man away hahaha.  nice to have the dude be kidnapped for once!

Developer

Yeah, I ran out of time to add an tutorial. Basically if you have your fire attack active when you're hit by an fire attack you take half damage. And if your ice attack is active when hit by an fire attack you take double damage. Same thing for ice attacks too.

HostSubmitted

aha!  that's pretty interesting, and forces you to be quick with switching around because it's hard to predict exactly when you do your own attack...

Genuinely impressive pixel art animations. I also appreciate just straight up pictures of drawings in a game, gives it a certain vibe lol

The animations and explodey deaths are great. I feel like there should be some mechanic inbetween attacks, or charging an attack should be more involved. I was invested in rescuing the hubby but the game crashed when I died at the birds.

FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Other Event: Animation End for object obj_sphinx:

Unable to find any instance for object index '1' name 'obj_player' at gml_Object_obj_sphinx_Other_7

stack frame is gml_Object_obj_sphinx_Other_7 (line -1)

Ok, I know how to fix that. I'll fix it after the jam ends.

the game was hard and took me a while to figure out the mechanic to switch elements when getting attacked to reduce incoming damage; so i ended up grinding the fire lady for coins for upgrades and potions. Cool designs

Developer

Yeah, I kinda ran out of time to test the difficulty and I wanted to add an tutorial. Maybe in a future update.

Yesss, it's another Nekolag game!

Love the artwork!  The hard pixel motion tween animations look really good.

I think the battles could be a little more interactive. Right now there's a lot of idle time between attacks. You can try adding another gameplay mechanic so the player has more to do while waiting. Maybe clicking on enemy bullets to decrease the damage they do, or a couple of special abilities with cooldown times. Just something to keep the action going.

I found the griffins on the fourth stage to be the hardest part of the game. I think they should be a much later encounter.

Other than that, I really like it. Are you going back to working on Perv Alert after this?

Developer

Yes I'm planning to do Perv alert next. Thanks for playing my game.

Interesting aesthetic, although I didn't feel like I had a lot of meaningful choices to make? Also, I was fighting one of the bird creatures on the third stage, and when I died, the game crashed.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to fix glitches later.
