awww that's it? I really like where this was going ^w^ Would love to see more eventually hehehe
wow, this is some hella production values
love the environment and the character and the brief glimpse of horny metroid powerups. (ran fine on our media center frankenputer on Cinematic, fwiw.) i am not sure what kind of society would make doors that open this way so i hope you have a lot of lore planned because i am dying to find out
i don't know that the crouch-jump really works, but also this is a fairly small area so i don't know that nitpicking the abilities makes much sense at this stage!
Wow, very pretty! The environments really feel like a sci-fi alien planet. The character animation is very smooth and highly expressive, and integrates well with the gameplay. Speaking of, I thought the platforming was good. I had to get a gamepad out to play comfortably. My only complaint there is that a lot of the jumps were too high for a normal jump--a "super" jump seems like it should be saved for special occasions. I like the sound design, but I wish there was more of it. I felt like my character should be vocalizing during many of the animations. I can't wait to see more!
This is one good-looking game! The graphics are definitely professional quality, and the two environments (caves and tech lab) have a very different mood to them. It's really outstanding, especially for a game jam project. I also really liked the look of the synthosaur. My GPU wasn't super happy to have to render all of this, but that's to be expected from an early prototype like this.
I'm a little torn about the platforming. The horny metroidvania mechanics work, I think, but the running and jumping felt a little clunky. There's a lot of weight to the synthosaur, which is good if you're going for a real sense of physicality, but might not be the best choice for precision platforming. Something to tinker with, perhaps.
All in all, good job!
Visually stunning, but in dire need of optimization. I had to close the game without exploring too much because of a combination of lag, overly demanding precision jumps and my fans spinning like mad. Judging from what I've seen and the screenshots, I can tell that a whole lot of love went into the art and design of the game. The environments are very pretty, but they definitely need to be made just a bit more accessible.
Very coool! I could play so much more with this cute synthosaur!! :3
I love the visual style, but the gameplay itself is really clunky.
