Writer looking for team!

I'm a trans, non-straight (I'm NB, the terminology gets weird) writer looking for some folks to make a game with. What I have in mind is a visual novel about people who are literally sweets. I'm thinking, like, sentient queer pieces of candy, except they have cute cartoon features. Nothing specific except I want a happy ending and mildly interactive storyline -- I love me some interactive fiction. We can work out the details later; we've got time.

I can do Twine no sweat, but I don't have much programming knowledge beyond that.

Anyway, if you want to code a VN or make cute pictures of LGBTQ dessert foods, let me know! I also wouldn't turn down a musician, if you're offering. I look forward to working with you. :)

Important thing to note if you'd like to work with me: I can't work on a NSFW or 18+ game due to age.

I love the sound of sentient food people. Yessss. You are brilliant. I'd love to help in anyway I can because this sounds delicious. :D

I'm inexperienced, and, well, might not be suuuper useful, but I like to do pixel art (don't have much to show, almost everything got lost on an old computer...) and have a fair bit of experience with music, though I haven't done much for electronic composition, so I don't know if I'll be helpful in that way. But helping with ideas, writing/editing, world and character building, are all things I'd love to help with too. ^^

Hey hey hey! That sounds great. :) I've done a bit of pixel art too, and if you can read music you're already better than I am :P

I'll send you a message on Tumblr, and we can get into serious discussion once the jam officially starts!

Sounds like y'all could use a programmer. :)

I posted this thing earlier. Sentient candy sounds potentially awesome. Are you picturing something more in the vein of Candyland's candy people or Crying Breakfast Friends' food with faces? Or something that spans the gap, like Adventure Time's Candy Kingdom?

We could indeed! :) This is gonna be a visual novel, so I think RenPy might be your best bet?

I'm thinking more like Crying Breakfast Friends... except less crying and more this.

I was actually thinking of Ren'Py as soon as you said visual novel. No better tool for the job. I'll start going over the documentation. :)

Good luck e3veryone! cant wait to play your game!!!
