Delightful artwork and scene movement. Good usage of audio. The lovecraftian narration set a nice oppressive tone to contrast the child-like traditional art, but it did seem weird to really be considering turning back after coming so far. And we all know the only truth we'll find is going to leave us more befuddled and confused than we were at the start. The choices were nice, not for seeing their effect in game, but for making the player ask themselves their own answers. Also, good kitty. He's a good boy.
Thank you fellow papercraft enthousiasts ! We really liked your game as well ! Your illustrations were absolutely gorgeous and fit your storyβs soothing style impecably ! It was refreshing to see the lovecraftian lore explored in such an intimate and introspective way. Made us wish for a little more at the end, but all in all your game was a very comfy experience. Thank you !
A beautifully illustrated exploration of existence, meaning, and self worth while sailing to sacrifice yourself to an old god. Oh and you have a cat.
Surreal in premise but concrete in prose, this game offers some interesting choices of dialog as you sail to your suicidal doom. Short but worth it to experience the high resolution illustrations used as a backdrop to this story. There arenβt a lot of them, but what the game does have are extremely well crafted and beautiful like pages out of a favorite childhood storybook - despite the macabre subject matter.
Thanks for sharing, look forward to experiencing more!
That's such a lovely comment, thank you so much from me and from the artist, she loved your comment very much! She worked very hard on drawing and painting those illustrations, for sure the highlight of our game <3 The game is quite small and there's not many illustrations because we started the jam quite late and needed to restrain ourselves from making anything too big that we couldn't finish.
We'll be sure to play your game as soon as we can!!
