Pretty nice sailor's tale of guilt. Probably fished way more than was intended.
Thank you! I hope there were enough unique fishing events to keep you hooked (no pun intended).
Overall i was more involved with the story than the management aspect of the game, though i get why it's there and it ties in well with the narrative at some points. I liked the music variety, it worked really well to set the scenes though it could have used a bit of transitioning between tracks.
The writing was also good, it could maybe have been a bit more concise at times, though that comes with the territory of a text-based games and that's more my opinion as someone who has a hard time staying focused when playing those. Nevertheless, the overall narrative was interesting and in my opinion the choices available and how some would appear or disappear at times worked well. Though despite the setting, it didn't necessarily feel too tense for me, more like a calm and introspective tale.
Thank you for this!
I do agree that ATTST is more of an experience of dread rather than terror, and yes concision has never been among my strong suits haha. Also yeah I agree, there could be some smoother music transition. It's about half that the Twine engine was not built with audio in mind, and about half that I didn't code the transitions as thoroughly as I could have (perhaps a post-jam update is in order).
