I love this mechanic! Was there anything after finding the first two identities? I'm not sure if an envelope was supposed to show up but nothing did for me (I know it says it's unfinished but I wasn't sure how far it goes).
Just didn't think it was that fun? Whaaaa?? No, this is a great mechanic! Working out people's names and relationships, dragging and dropping things on my pinboard--this is good stuff, man, and I really want to get into it! I really wish you'd gotten it a little more finished, because it's like 75% of the way to being a really fun mystery but not quite there yet; especially the clues of the actual mystery could use a little work, I think (I agree that we don't have enough information to identify the photos based on what we're given). Keep working on it so I can come back and finish playing when it's a little more polished, I demand it.
wow, these UI mechanics are really cool. there’s a bug with the middle-mouse pan though, it goes all crazy. i really like that i can just drag the information into the cards, they feel really good. for the relationship, i think you can change the UI to show two slots instead of one slot, that should intuitively show the “two-way” relationship. i had some trouble identifying the characters by their portraits, even though i know the father and sons’ names. a top hat doesn’t necessarily mean it must be that, right? i think this can be improved by giving some hints, like describing the person’s appearance, photos in the news, etc.
overall, i had good fun with this game. i was actually hoping for more after the first two identities. the writing seems good too. i think it has a lot of potential. i hope you do more with it. good job!
thanks for the kind words. the game has lots of jank and, honestly, I gave up on it because i just didn't think the game was that fun so it's nice to hear you found some positives. i agree with all your points but i don't think i'll be updating this game but thanks again!!
