Wow this game was gorgeous, from the writing to the visuals. God it hit a lot harder than I thought it would, I shouldn't have taken the pet death warning so lightly! Super curious how you did the visuals, I can't get over how cool they look!

Thank you so much!

Most of the visuals are real photographs with some colour editing, then ran through a combination of GIMP's "cubism" and "oilify" filters.

Although the view out of the window I drew myself

For lizardly reasons ;)

I really liked the way you incorporated the colour palette! The art was amazing and contributed to the whole vibe of the game. I liked the little pieces of info about caterpillars and their life cycle, as it just added to the whole lab experience. Having the choice to name the caterpillar also added to my eventual emotional attachment and heartfelt goodbye message later in the game. This is such a good play!

I DO WONDER WHY LABS ARE ALWAYS SO LATE IN THE DAY. I've mentioned this a bunch of times by now, but I really love how stylized the art is... the use of colour to indicate time passing is super sick. and also how you incorporated the jam palette!! also also I think it was a great call to show the three containers at the same time rather than sequentially like in the earlier version--way easier to see the difference that way !🦎🦎
