What does "obsolete" in the context of this JAM mean?

Q. What does the game titular-theme obsolete refer to? In your (@I_Will_Probably_Die) context?

My Possible Interpretation

  1. “Obsolete” here might refer to making a game with an “obsolete” feature. Like movement with obsolete keys (no keyboard keys)

  2. “Obsolete” might refer to making a game with an “obsolete” aspect, an aspect not used by modern games. Like pixel graphics, GameBoy-like interface, and limited resolution.

IDK, what it actually meant here, But, I expect #2 to be the main one because it sounds reasonable. Anyone shall help me out.

either one works depending on the theme one might be better than the other but once it's announced it's your choice.
