In the spirit of this being in a modern setting I love the idea that I could just roll for a few weeks in advance and give my players the weirdest weather reports ^^

that’s a really cool application! Nice idea!

Love this. I know it's a simple thing, but I'm enamoured with the physicality of flipping the card to swap between states.

same! I love physical objects—and cards naturally want to be rotated, flipped, bent, cut, whatever! I’d love to see more uses of these as cards.

Oh this is so cool ─ I esp. like the overcast ideas being linked to months

Developer

thanks! It was actually inspired by a card game my partner and I play called Koi-Koi. It’s a set collection game where the deck is composed of 12 suits of 4 cards each. Each suit represents a month’s flower. You’re supposed to alternate a special set for each round of play (12 rounds, so each suit gets a chance to be the special set), but we ended up playing by whatever the real-world month is! I’m sure that’s a variant that’s played, but it’s just something we like to do.

It kind of makes every time you play like a “monthly challenge” similar to dailies in roguelike games—which I quite enjoy.
