You don't see many eight-direction shooters in these Jams, so it's fun to see it here. The gameplay itself was smooth, with snappy controls. The bomb youkai were pretty clever, I liked that wrinkle. As for difficulty, I think this is perfectly fine for a three-day affair all considered. The game doesn't feel unfair outside of the one-shot death mechanic; if you get hit it's your fault.
The music not being Touhou is a bit of a distraction, but it's also befitting. I do wish there was more back-and-forth between Reimu and Yumemi; if you had more time, I think you could have programmed some tit-a-tat between the two to mark increases in difficulty.

It's good, but it needs to be more difficult, I had to let the enemies pass by in order to be more challenging, it didn't worked, they happen to merge in the same place, so a little random movement could do the trick.
we might be asking too much, but it really has potential, since it's based in a very good game.

Pretty fun game. Had me playing for a while. Didn't realize you can move at first though lol.
The movement is really smooth and so is the shooting. The core gameplay loop itself took a while till it started to bore me. But that's mostly because the difficulty doesn't start to become harder. So it is really easy to stay alive indefinitely. Try to make it so that the frequency of enemies increases with time, or add more types of enemies.

Hey! really liked your game! haven't played many 8-directional shooters so it was a unique experience for me! I loved how snappy the controls feel, every time some money despawned, I never felt like it was due to Reimu being slow, but rather to my own ignorance. Heres a tip from one Godot dev to another, you can embed pck files into the game itself, makes it so you dont have to download 2 separate files :>
