I really liked this! I had a very fun time playing with patterns and trying not to die on route B.
If by any chance, a combo system and score can be added, it will definitely add fun to the experience.
I can say also that a dash/roll mechanic could be useful to avoid bullets.
The art, music and concept was fantastic. Very well done!
Important Notice (Consider re-rating)
Hey guys, due to a huge oversight we kept our placeholder RPGMaker tilemap assets in the submission, which we are by right not supposed to (RPGMaker doesn't allow them being used outside of RPGMaker).
For rating purposes, consider that all ground/grass/trees/things on the floor in game do not exist and are just simple colored squares. Everything else is made by us during the jam period.
Do consider re-rating Visuals with all these into account.
Also thanks all that have left your 2cents in the comments about this game.

Highly Responsive to Lactose Intolerance
Fantastic itch.io page design, and some top-notch artwork in the game, but really jarring when combined with those rpgmaker assets.
Good original music.
Good use of the gamejam theme! It's "only once", but you can steal more, which makes it more intriguing.
Boss battles were pretty good. Scavenging for spells and conserving them was fun, and tricking enemies into blowing things up for me. I liked the rotation through different attack types.
I thought I was doing well going into a boss fight armed with a packload of spells, but I kept spilling them all over the floor. Frantically trying to reclaim them while avoiding bullets was fun.
Funny writing, good gameplay, and cool character portaits. It's really cool having to plan around efficiently using your bullets. My only real complaint are the overworld sprites, especially the tiles. It's what you're looking at for most of the game, and using (what I presume to be) RPG Maker tiles that don't really fit in with the spectacular artwork and design of the rest of the game hurts it a bit. This definitely held my attention the longest though.
10/10 writing tho
I like this game, playing it is fun and those drawing! oh my~
Very good visuals and overall design for the alloted time.
The gameplay mechanic of needing to do ammo management and having it tied to your life is both interesting and somewhat frustrating to work with. Especially at the boss battles.
One note: having the bullets look identical for both player and enemy makes it hard to navigate the terrain.
Nothing was more butt-clenching than see I have no ammo. 8/10
