Congrats on your win! Your game was a fun play through, as mentioned before. Would you mind me putting footage of your game in my devlog?

No problem you can put footage of my game in your devlog! Let me know when you've finished it so I can check it!

The video is up now! Footage of your game is near the closing of the video itself.

Developer

Okay I'm gonna watch it!

Really liked this game, felt a lot like Terraria, would love for there to be more defined jump heights and dash lengths, and maybe some different maps?

Developer(+1)

Those are things that could eventually be added if a full version see the day, even if it's not planned for the moment. I restricted to one map for the moment because more would have been impossible with the time limits.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm glad you liked the game!

I was initially confused because I thought that the specimen to evolve was the one you controlled, but then it made sense. This game gave me some Terraria vibes so I liked that :). The evolving theme made the gameplay vary dynamic and entertaining, and the gameplay difficulty felt really nice for being a 3h game. I wish however that there was some checkpoint or similar, because dying makes you have to repeat all the progress again. Well done!

Yes I wanted to make the game more clear but it was hard in so little time. Otherwise I'm glad you enjoyed the game. And yes now that you say it there is indeed a strong terraria vibe! And I'm happy that the difficulty seems good because it was almost pure theory, I've tested the game only a few times during the dev.  Having no checkpoint was intented to pressure the player more and more!

Best game ever

Thank you very much for your comment under my game,

And yes, indeed, I just watched and our games have the same concept in totally inverted it made me laugh a lot.

And I find it really interesting to see how the same idea evolves differently according to the creators, it’s all the fun of a jam

However, I find the yours system much more interesting with an AI that evolves as progress and the distressing atmosphere that emerges from the arena of play.

Great job!

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I'm glad you liked the game, and yes knowing our games have the same concept but inverted is awesome!

Thanks a lot for your feeback ! I'm glad you liked the game, and yeah we always wants to get more genes ! The creature get really monstruous if you reach the 36 DNA ( it's his final form !)
