Great work. Loved the platforming, death and rebirth animations, and music. The twist got me good as well. 

I have some suggestions:

  • Make the character frictionless when they jump into walls. It is frustrating for the jump height to be cut short when hitting against a wall.
  • When the player hits the red trigger, play a sound effect to let the player know something has happened. Maybe even a visual indicator to lead them to the next part of the level. It took me a while to realize that platforms even appeared on the right side.
  • Give the ground some texture so I can gauge how fast the character is running. In the final level the ground was grey so it was hard where and how fast the enemies where moving. 
  • Make sure to include a thumbnail for your project. Even a screenshot of the game is fine. For me seeing no thumbnail biased me to think that the game was buggy or incomplete before even playing it.

Still for what you guys accomplished in under 3 hours the game looks and plays very well!

I did not run into the bug that ProSmashy alludes to in their comment. I was able to complete the game, I think, and really enjoyed the twist at the end. The animation on the character is superb. Did you do the animation? I died on purpose like a dozen times just so I could watch the character dissolve and reform!!

The game looks and sounds good, but you can't jump from the upper platforms, just from the ground...
