The idea is good, well realized. It always amaze me to see 3D games in trijams.
The difficulty is high but it's a flaw that is easy to fix. It may be a time problem (not enough time to twist the figure), but maybe there's also too much ways to turn the figure. Maybe start with just the scrollwheel, then add only one axis, then add the last axis in the most difficult level?
With some polish it can be a fun mobile game I think, well done!
Thanks for the feedback! I haven't tried unity for mobile development but I think I could give it a shot.
This game is awesome!
I feel like I would enjoy this game more if my spatial reasoning skills were stronger. You present the problem well and clearly, with good game design choices and great graphics. I just cannot fathom how to twist the shape to get it right, even with the very (very!) helpful top-down overlay of where the shape will land.
You did a great job! But this is just not the game for me :3
absurdly good
Cool idea but its so hard to try and rotate stuff in three dimensions in real time with the amount of time you have to do it. Check out my review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission!
Thank you for the review. Really appreciate the video feedback! I agree with you about the difficulty being intense at the start. Game would probably benefit from starting slower.
Fun game! I like the mechanic of twisting around a shape to fit through gaps, & the music is fun to listen to. The difficulty is way too high, I never seemed to realize the exact way to fit the shape through the gap, especially since you only have a few seconds to figure it out. If you made it more forgiving, I think it would benefit the game massively.
Thank you for the review! Yeah I have been getting a lot of feedback about the difficulty. If I could do it again I would dialed back the starting tunnel speed.
The game can be difficult at times. If I had more time I would have added simple patterns at the beginning for users to get used to the controls. Still if you are fast and nimble enough it is always possible to get past a wave of bombs. Here is some example gameplay (At the end I managed to get my personal best of 5!):
I like the idea, but the game was too hard to start with, I think the game needs 2 to 3 easy patterns for a player to get used to the twist mechanic.
Agreed. If I had more time I would have made the first few patterns a bit easier instead of randomly generating them. I am thinking it would have been helpful if I added a couple difficulty levels giving players easier shapes to work with.
Best played in full screen with a scroll wheel mouse!
