Nice one! first levels were a bit dull but the challenge ramped pretty nice and the overpopulation theme was fully realized :)

I could see this game being converted to a board game

Solid game mechanics. I like tile based puzzle games. This is pretty fun. Like one other game in this jam, I think this would make a really nice board game or online game where players take turns placing stuff for points.

I think the concept is cool and the first 5 levels are very fun. However, the 6th level is mostly impossible: for a population of 320 I need to place 32 houses. The randomisation of the tiles prevented that and only gave me 17 houses out of 51 visible tiles:

Note, that even though my building strategy was flawed (at an optimum I only could have placed 24 houses), what strategy you can actually play heavily depends on the randomisation.

Two additional things I noticed:

  • this is not true: "Once the house fulfills these conditions, its appearance changes"
  • the music only plays on the left stereo channel

Thank you for your feedback !

We haven’t done enough tests to evaluate the limits of our game (probability balance, population increase). But at level 6, we see the problem of overpopulation ^^’. For the functionality of change of appearance, we didn’t have enough time to implement it… And for the music it is unexplained, I configure it in mono.
