Great concept for the theme! Great potential too! I have struggle with the controls, with improvements it would be very good!

I like the idea that first you play as soldier and then you play as the medic while the soldier repeats your moves. Really cool game!

I like it! Though I really found the controls hard to wrap my head around. Maybe up and down arrows instead of toggling with Z?

As for the up and down arrows, it's actually a great idea! I just kept VVVVVV controls in mind and haven't thought of a better solution. Good point.

the game is hard overall, and with the questionable controls becomes even harder, but is still fine

Just in case: were you playing on a computer? Because the keys I used are PICO-8 defaults, while the mobile controls were configured by myself and I, well, am not too proud of them.

i did play on a computer, what i meant by movement is that it is hard to catch the soldier as a medic, when the substitute for jump is gravity reversing
