Currently the controls are a bit stiff. First up, I felt that I wasn't jumping when I did press space. To help that you could add in coyote timing and jump buffering. They are the little things, but they go a long way. Also the jump is pretty floaty. Increasing the gravity would help here. It's nice if you have some template with the basic player movement like this so you can focus on other important aspects of the game.

fun concept, I think with some tweaking to the jumping (falling faster, adjustable jump height etc.) it could be a lot more enjoyable
