Another question; do tabs and lines count?

As lines i mean sometimes you can go to the line below by spamming space until the end of the line you are writiong. Like:

a. Yeah i spammed space and look i am in a new line.

Since my question didn't get an official response, I'm taking the approach of going by Twitter's character count. So if you compose a tweet and all your code fits in a tweet, good to me

Oh wait a line is 1 char? because then the submissions characters would be more than 500.
