I certainly didn't see that coming. I always appreciate gameplay variety, and most of the levels here played completely differently, even though the mechanics of each "character" are always more or less the same. The goal, too, is always the same, but the way you accomplish it in each stage is totally different. The game is fairly short, but I think that's appropriate, since the main point is doing things in new ways each time. Overall, I liked it quite a lot!
that was pretty weird, i got stuck on the environment sometimes but is nice =D
The physics is the main problem with the game :(
If you are using unity, you can try to use continuous speculative on your rigidbodies (if you are not using yet). That should prevent you to get stuck
Thanks so much! :)
I must say that was a pretty bizarre adventure! It really felt like the buggy physics were intended, and there were many elements in levels that were unexpected. A funny and a good thing is, I didn’t need a tutorial to understand the game! So congrats on making a buggy, yet fun game!
Thanks for enjoying, I'm happy to hear that the lack of tutorial worked because that was quite important to me. Enjoy!
I liked the game, I liked the idea, needed some polishing, physics are buggy yeah, but I think collision causes more issues! Also, maybe it was user fault but I had to reload every time I lost to a spike or I trapped the key somewhere etc. But I can see what you're going for and it is not bad at all!
Hey!
I liked your take on who you acted as in the platformer, it was definitely unexpected for me :). The frog design was also super cute. With some polish (and a physics fix - sorry don't mean to beat a dead horse) I bet this would be a super enjoyable experience. Great job!
Not bad. As mentioned earlier, there are some physics issues, i.e., you're stuck when you land on the ground until you jump. I also found that the jumping was unexpectedly high, which was perhaps the point, but given some of the entities you played as I didn't understand why some of them could jump so high. The visuals are simple and cute, although I noticed in the 3rd level the frog blends in a bit with the green part of the background, so at first I couldn't see where it was. I'd suggest more contrasting shades of green in that regard. The music is alright - admtitedly, after the 10th or so loop, it began to get a bit irritating.
It indeed was unexpected to play as different entities, as going into this game I thought I would primarily be a frog, but it was a welcome surprise.
thanks for the feedback,I agree with you on the music because it was quite rushed and we kept losing our work. I still have no idea how the collision bug worked so couldn't sort it during the jam. Have a nice day :) ~droshux
Very interesting idea, I like that on almost every level, you are playing as a different entity. I'm missing music and SFX. There are also some collision issues I guess (sometimes I can't move or jump from the ground).
Overall, good job! :)
I overall liked this game idea. There are a lot fun and unexpected gameplay ideas. The controls has some issues, and the game needs some Music/sound effects. Overall a pretty good jam game. Well done.
Interesting! I take it the possibly means there's no sound yet! Very interesting, I'm not sure what was unexpected about this, other than maybe the second level. But overall, a basic neat platformer.
The unexpected part was supposed to be that level elements have strange and different properties, ig it wasn't quite unexpected enough in your opinion, will try to up the trippyness in later levels
