I really liked the art style of the game, especially the enemy.  The character movement feels really good at times, but other times it feels a bit buggy.  The camera feels really inconsistent and buggy, which might contribute to the movement not always feeling the best.

I would prefer a HUD in the game.

If there is only 1 player attack, I believe it should be mouse click combat, but if there is various attacks it should be on the keyboard.

Great start! I'm liking the effort you put into the lighting. Here's my notes.

  • How many enemies is appropriate per level?
I don't think I can answer this quantitatively--whatever is a good balance of "rewarding to beat but not frustrating"! I think really nailing down how you expect players to use the provided mechanics to win will naturally lead you to the right answer.
  • Would you prefer a HUD?
Once again, I would rely on the mechanics to determine this. If you find that your solution is to provide more and more HUD, maybe consider simplifying your mechanic.
  • How strong should the enemy attack the player?
Currently, I think that the strength of the enemy doesn't matter, I simply bypassed the enemy. Maybe focus on the clarity of how the player should engage the enemy? I assumed that I had no ability to combat the enemy.
  • How should the player attack? Would you like mouse click combat or full keyboard combat?
I would prefer you to make that decision for me :). Whichever one you think will make a more rewarding combat experience.
  • How do you feel about the jump height/power? Should it be lowered?
Jump height is fine, as long as I can make it up the stairs somehow. I got stuck a lot and ended up flinging myself off the side of the stairs into the lava so that I could get back to the start.

Horizontal mouse sensitivity feels a bit high. The art has a very cute, polished look. The character can get stuck on some of spots with elevation changes (bridges, stairs).

How does movement feel?

  • Movement feels really solid, it didn't feel too slow or too fast. The jumping was a little too floaty but otherwise felt fine. You can also scale walls by jumping next to them.

How does the camera feel?

  • The camera feels a little sensitive and moves a little to fast. You probably know, but the camera can go outside the walls of the level letting you see everything.

How does the level feel so far?

  • I thought that the level looked awesome! It would be cool to see some more rooms, like trap rooms, etc. I'm excited to see where you guys take it.

How do the controls feel?

  • The controls were as I expected. I'm not sure if there were any extra controls apart from move and jump though.

Movement: The movement felt really good.  I don't think I would change anything with it.

Camera: My biggest criticism is probably that the camera felt too sensitive and difficult to control.  I struggled looking and going where I wanted to because it felt like I couldn't get it in the direction I wanted.

I really love the look of the level, I'm really excited to see what you guys do with this.

How does movement feel?

The movement feels great. The speed is solid and I look forward to seeing what you guys do with it.

How does the camera feel?

The camera seems like it goes through the walls a bit easily. I don't think that is a bad problem but I was able to see through the entire map when that happened.

How does the level feel so far?

The level seems great. I can't wait to see the interactions with the environment.

How do the controls feel?

I mean pretty standard controls so they feel good.

I love how the game looks and plays so far. The main character looks great and and I like his movement/animations. Well I was playing and I decided to spam the jump button and learned that the character is able to climb and even jump far distances. I'm excited to see where the game goes but I really like it so far.
