Yeah this is just straight up great. The pitch is just executed precisely. It's great.
Played Suika after this for the first time for... research purposes... Pumpkin Game has some really smooth game feel and fairly interesting powerups. ngl, this game is visually a lot more appealing than Suika too. The distinct sprites make it a lot more accessible and satisfying, and the popping sound effect is leagues ahead of the weird bubbly sound effect of Suika.
Hi Siman, thank you for the encouraging words. The version of suika game u played is probably also a ripoff though, the actual version is https://www.nintendo.com/en-ca/store/products/suika-game-switch/ which i dont think has a website version
I realized that after the fact so I edited the text to still be appropriate but only after clicking that link did I learn it was a paid game XD
General sentiments still apply though :)
This was awesome! I love the sprite work you did and the pop sound it made when things combine was so satisfying I found myself chasing that over and over. Nice work!
