What is the most interesting interval in your leitmotif/theme?
There is an interval about 4 seconds into the theme where the notes jump from B♭ to D that I think is somewhat unexpected and gives the piece a confident and slightly foreboding tone, as if a villain is openly carrying out an evil plot, daring any would-be heroes to stop it.

It screams Psychedelic Cyborg Western. I feel like I’m in the last standoff with a blaster-slinger at the edge of the universe. The bass, the rhythm, the intervals… is there even a sparse Eastwoodian fugue?

Ooh, yes, "Psychedelic Cyborg Western" sounds like an amazing genre to play with! You know, I think there is a bit of a Spaghetti Western influence in there that I didn't even pick up on until you mentioned it! I appreciate you describing so vividly what it brought to mind for you!

I'm thinking a lot of Pink Floyd listening to this piece - has a bit of dark and sinister atmosphere to it, not unlike some songs on the album The Wall! This is of course meant in a complimentary sense! :) really digging the vibe! :)

Wow, that is high praise, indeed -- thank you! I wasn't specifically referencing Pink Floyd, but I think you're right -- there are definitely some tracks in The Wall that capture the post-apocalyptic wasteland feel I was trying to tap into, so, as influential as it was, I'd probably count it as an indirect inspiration!

I completely agree with you that the interval you chose functions exactly the way you describe. What I find especially interesting about it is that the interval is a major third, and while you skip the minor third in the walk up between these notes, the implication is heavily minor-sounding that fits a villain theme well. I also think that your intuition of putting the melody in the bass voice while keeping other parts more sparse fits the vibe of this jam theme really well. Thank you for sharing!

So, I like the ambience and general vibres I get from this. The grand chamber reverb FX on that bass gives it a nice metallic feel I'm digging a lot and I specially like the quick interval in 00:09-00-11.

I'm not reading the motif melody too clearly, that's my one note. (The second instrument muddles the sound a bit, maybe that's why.)

Thank you for your review, I'm glad you liked the ambience! Also, I definitely agree with what you said about the second instrument. The way I originally wrote it was how it is in the second half of the clip, with two guitars -- but then I felt like it was a bit unclear, like you said. So I removed the second guitar and just kept the bass as a solo. Then I realized it ended up being almost exactly 15 seconds, so I decided to just repeat the motif again with the second guitar part added back in, and still kept it under the 30 second limit for the jam. Looking back, maybe it would have been a bit stronger without that second half, but I think I have a habit of not throwing things out even if they're not working. 😅
