I've just released my first YouTube devlog on the process for making my game for this jam. Wondering if it would be OK to share it here? I would also be keen to check out other devs videos from this jam if they have created any.

I would love to see it! Your game is in my top 5 of the jam for sure.

Here’s mine if you want to check it out!

Cheers Barely Even Games, your devlog was awesome, people should definitely check it out.

Same to you! You should put the link up here, I think people would love it. I certainly did.

Yep, added a bunch of them below :)

I love that you got your wife involved!
(The first step to getting her interested in becoming a game dev - MUWAHAHAHAHA!)

Submitted

Haha yep! I honestly think that including her in this was the only reason I was able to get away with spending so much time on it :D

Submitted

Lol, yeah, there's a reason game devs were once reported to have the highest rate of divorce for any profession!

Submitted

Uhhhhh that’s terrifying lol

Submitted

Honestly, I'm super jealous - I wish my significant other would do a game jam with me.
The thought of a husband + wife jam team-up like yours (and the one behind "Expecting Groceries") sounds like so much fun!

Submitted

Just ask her to do a voice for you! My wife doesn’t like video games at all but that worked super well for me :) yeah that expecting groceries couple was awesome.

Submitted

Haha, I have the opposite problem. My spouse is so into mainstream games that he teases me for being "too indie". But I like the idea of getting a non-jammer to do a voice for you! I tried something similar with our kid. =)

Submitted

Yeah I can’t wait to have kids so I can have a bunch of kids do voices for my games :)

1) Congrats on your finishing position in this jam!
2) I hope your wife is onboard having a bunch of kids, too! ;) Seriously, I used to want more and I dearly love our kiddo, but I'm absolutely not going through that a second time. If I ever want another, I'll adopt.

So no one has said it isn't allowed so I have added a link to my devlog here:

I also found some other Devlogs for the VimJam for those that weren't aware (Please share others if I have missed any).

Hi! I actually did a dev log too! I’d appreciate it a lot if you could watch it! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OgWR--ZT0og

Hi, sorry for missing yours, the ones I found appeared in the search for "VimJam".

I just checked out your video, great work. (one bit of feedback is in the video you mentioned you would link to the game in the description but you only have links to your discord and twitch)

O lol Im dumb Imma fix that now lmao. You've played my game though right?

Submitted

Just checked it out and gave feedback and rating :) Would be great to get your thoughts of my game if you get a chance, I think I just missed your stream last time.

I’m streaming tomorrow sometime between 3:00 and 5:00. The best way to get notified is to join my discord (here’s the link to make it easy https://discord.gg/kDKqDp). Hope you can make it!

I have followed you on twitch so I should get notified when you are on (we are likely different time zones).
