  • I'm not sure I got the gist on how to play the game. I think gameplay could have been explained a bit more, but overall great work!
  • This game is absolutely gorgeous, and the strategy concept is cool. I found myself a bit confused by the interactions between units, but I think with time and a bit of animation it would all be perfectly clear. There are so many nice design flourishes throughout, and I think the core concept has a lot of meat on its bones. I would love to see where this title goes in the future!

The way you used the color pallet was very nice. The sprites drawn in your 3 base colors were convincingly map-like, and the accent color was super cleverly used (I also like the full pallet swap for imperial-ness, it made it so I never placed an imperial by mistake)!

I wanted to understand all the mechanics so I had to play through it a few times, but it was fun to learn everything. It would have been a bit more playable if game was a bit easier, but of course that would have detracted from the theme of Roman rule (and I could have ended up spending far too long playing). At least once they gave me directly contradictory decrees, I would have been made, but it just made me laugh.

It took me a little while to understand, but it's a really interesting and brainy concept. One for the strategy fans! The procedurally generated maps are gorgeous.

cool game! i like how the pallet changes, and how it highlights stuff, the gameplay is a little confusing, but neat concept and its executed well
