Hey everyone! For the next game jam, I'm considering extending the submission period to a full week. Would you prefer that? If so, how long would you like the voting period to be? Also, would it matter to you if the voting period and the next submission period overlapped in order to keep it weekly? Let me know your thoughts!

is there a discord

There isn't one yet. I've been looking into setting one up though.

I would prefer week long jams because I am a pretty busy person without a consistent work schedule. It would be easier for me to turnout higher quality stuff if I could get a full seven days to plan around rather than just a weekend, of which I might have obligations or plans.

I will play the devils advocate here. I actually think having it be something short is very good. That way you are forced to just be quick with stuff. It's a good limitation and I think it will lead to better works in general.
It depends on what the goal of the jam is. Is it more completed works, or is it the inspiration to start something.

Have to kind of agree, I'm a huge procrastinator and I don't usually start working on projects until near a deadline.

I think three days time limit is a really good way to train yourself to be more productive with your projects. Being able to work within time constraints is an important skill.

I just saw the issue with the difficulty selection. Ill try to have it fixed for the next jam.
